General Coffee State Park, Nichols, GA Site 37 11/1/2009

General Coffee State Park is located halfway between Nichols and Douglas, Georgia. There are beautiful trees throughout the park. Most of the sites are dirt pull throughs with water and electric only. There is a fire pit and picnic table at each site. The dump station is conveniently located as you leave the park. We were not able to get DirecTV satellite because of the trees. Walmart, restaurants and other shopping are located in nearby Douglas.

General Coffee is a beautiful, quiet park and we enjoyed the campground and would recommend it to anyone with an RV 35 feet or smaller. Many of the sites would be hard to get into with a larger RV. The road through the park and especially through the campground is very tight in places because of trees close to the road.

Amenities: Water and Electric

Tom Sawyer's RV Park, West Memphis, Arkansas Site Site 96 9/8/2009

Tom Sawyer's RV Park is right on the Mississippi River in West Memphis, AR. The park is easy to get to from I-40 and is a good overnight stop. We had a large level pull through gravel site with free WI-FI at the site. We were able to get DirecTV Satellite tv. This is the only campground we have been to that has a separate section for Fifth-Wheels. The sites are set up so that the rear of the fifth-wheel faces the Mississippi River. We enjoyed relaxing at our site watching the barges go down the river. There is a path along the river with benches .

Tom Sawyer's is the only campground we have been to with FREE LAUNDRY! There were four brand new front loading washers and dryers. Click here for their website.
