Harvest Moon RV Park Adairsville, GA Site 18 11/12/2008

Harvest Moon RV Park Site 18
This park is big rig friendly and convenient to I-75 north of Atlanta. Even though this campground is in an urban setting it was very quiet. The owner was helpful and even had free popcorn for us when we checked in. A good place for an overnight stop.

Cave Country RV Park Cave City, KY 11/10/2008

Cave Country RV Park is a nice big-rig friendly park just off of the interstate. All the sites were large, gravel level pull throughs with full hookups. We stayed here for a visit to Mammoth Cave. It is located about 10 miles from the entrance to the national park and there are several restaurants including a Cracker Barrel within walking distance. The owner was very nice and helpful. Our dog really enjoyed being able to run off leash in the large fenced in dog walk area.

The only negative about this park would be the train track that runs right behind the park. We like the sound of the train but some people may not enjoy it.

Kentucky Horse Park Lexington, KY Site 159 11/6/08

The Kentucky Horse Park Campground is a beautiful state park just north of Lexington. Our site was a level, paved back in with a huge grassy area behind the site. The sites have water and electric, with no sewer at the site but there are two dump stations. After November 1 there is no water at the site so we only had electric while we were there. The laundry room and bath houses were very clean.

River Plantation RV Park, Sevierville, TN Site 430 11/4/2008

River Plantation is a very nice park located close to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlenburg. It is easy to get to from I-40. All the sites were big-rig friendly - long and wide. Our full hookup site was on the river with a fire ring and picnic table. The laundry room was clean. I would highly recommend this park if you are planning a trip to this area.

Blythe Island Regional Park is very convenient to I-95 near Brunswick, GA. Just a few minutes off the interstate and you are in a beautiful wooded park with a pond and nature trails. We had a large, wooded fairly level pull through with full hookups including cable and free WIFI. The bath houses and laundry room were clean and well maintained.

Crooked River State Park, St. Mary's, GA Site 9 10/27/2008

Crooked River is a really pretty state park located on the river. Our site was a large, level pull through with water and electric. The site was all grass with a picnic table. Reservations through the Georgia State Park system are not site specific. You pick which site you want when you arrive. The park is a short drive from I-95 and close to restaurants and shopping. We love to stay at Georgia State Parks. We were here only one night and wished we could stay longer.
