Stephen C. Foster State Park, Fargo, GA Site 64 11/30/2008

Stephen C. Foster is one of our favorite places to camp. We have stayed here several times in December when it is almost empty. We stayed once in March when it was almost full and we enjoy it both ways. We like to stay in one of the large premium pull throughs. The bath house is spotless. Be sure to bring your own groceries when you come as it is a long way to anywhere. There is a nice gift shop and store with limited groceries and ice.

Click here for Georgia State Parks website.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. Click favorite to read more about it.

Would we come here again? DEFINITELY!

You HAVE TO try Red Top Mountain State Park in Georgia! It's the most beautiful East Coast state park we've been to, (and we've camped in quite a few, first with a pop-up and now with a 23 foot Flagstaff MicroLite) with incredibly huge sites heavily wooded and near enough to "civilization", though you wouldn't know it when you're there.
We used it as our base when we visited Kennesaw Mt. Civil War Battlefield, a very moving experience if you're a US history fan.Just in case, plan to be without hookups, as I don't recall if there were any.
