10/4/2012 Barnyard RV Park, Lexington, SC Site B-4

Barnyard RV Park in Lexington, SC is easy to get to from I-20. We had a long, wide pull through full hookup dirt site with paved picnic pad and picnic table. There are trees throughout the campground and grass between the sites. There is a nice laundry room. Ethernet internet service is available at the office and Tengo internet is available at the site. When we were there the first day of Tengo internet was free and you could sign up for additional days for a fee. AT&T Cell service worked fine and so did DirecTV Satellite.

There are many restaurants and grocery stores nearby including a Piggly Wiggly you can walk to. We were in town for a football game and it was easy to get to the stadium from Barnyard. The RV park is located behind the flea market. The park offers a discount for Good Sam Members.

Would we stay here again?  YES

10/1/2012 Petersburg COE Campground, Appling, GA Site 52

Site 52
Petersburg Campground is a beautiful COE Park on J. Strom Thurmond Lake in Georgia just 4 miles from the Thurmond Dam and Visitor Center.

Our site was a long, very wide waterfront gravel back in site with picnic table, fire ring, and lantern hook. We had water and electric at the site. The dump station is conveniently located on the way out of the campground. Our campsite had steps down to the lake and we had a nice view of the lake from our site.

View out our back window
There are two boat ramps and a swimming beach in the park. AT&T cell service worked fine and we were able to get DirecTV Satellite. The park is located a few miles off of I-20 and is easy to get to. There are restaurants and shopping including 2 Walmarts within easy driving distance. It's not too far from Augusta. It's a short drive to Harlem, GA, the birthplace of Oliver Hardy where there is an interesting Laurel and Hardy Museum.

Would we return? YES!
